Restorative Yoga – The Art of Rest

Living Peace Yoga 2/20 The Boulevarde, Toronto, New South Wales, Australia

Restorative yoga is a slow and mindful practice, which usually involves the use of props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and walls, to aid the student in holding a pose for an extended period of time. Using props allows the student to feel “supported” and “safe”, and therefore, the unconscious and habitual muscle tension has a chance to be dissolved and released. This practice leads the yogi towards a more healing and recuperative experience, achieving a deep level of relaxation in body, breath and mind.

Form, Feeling and Freedom – Yoga Immersion with Paul Wooden

Living Peace Yoga 2/20 The Boulevarde, Toronto, New South Wales, Australia

This workshop will explore how we integrate the spontaneous interplay of form, feeling and freedom, through the time tested arts of asana, pranayama, mantra & meditation.
Yoga offers very clear ways to open us to the innate wisdom of our deepest nature.  It offers ways to integrate the sometimes fragmented impulses in our lives into a cohesive wholeness. As practice develops, it is the innate potency of this cohesive wholeness itself that becomes the guiding intelligence of practice. When this innate wholeness opens in us, it brings a buoyancy, an aliveness, an intimate and self revealing intelligence. It brings a grace. A moment of grace is a moment of real participation in life where our practice becomes the simple elegant expression of our fulfilment, uncontrived, open and natural.
