This workshop is specifically for those who are ready to try inversions or those who want to refine their practice of inversions. Inversions are any pose where the heart is higher than the head, where we turn upside down and see the world from a new perspective. Asana’s include headstand (sirsasana), handstand (adho mukha vrksasana), forearm balance (pincha mayurasana), shoulderstand (sarvangasana) and even downward facing dog.
We will break down these poses, taking them step by step, to help us access the pose to the level appropriate for our body and access them safely and securely. We will discover how to build strength and flexibility to find the best alignment for each body in the pose.
Inversions are a great way to build courage, a sense of inner (and outer) power and are certainly fun.
All levels are welcome to this course (as long as you have some yoga experience) as every inversion has alternatives and modifications to help us build towards the main pose and gain similar benefits.
