Post Graduate Courses

Continuing Professional Development for Existing Yoga Teachers.

Who are these courses suitable for?

  • Yoga teachers who have completed previous teacher training.
  • Yoga teachers wanting to grow as an individual and as a teacher.

Our Approach

Each course will provide a certain number of CPD points (Continuing Professional Development) as required by Yoga Australia.

Quality teachers take time and continual learning to emerge; personal practice, experience teaching others, mentoring, feedback and practical opportunities to develop your yogic skills, are just as important as learning the alignment cues for Virabhadrasana.

At Living Peace, our post graduate teacher training programs are balanced between theory, philosophy, practical application, one-on-one mentoring and time.

The knowledge you gained in your previous trainings will begin to integrate into wisdom as you dive deeper into more techniques, practice and philosophy of yoga. Through practical guidance and skill development, you can continue to grow into the confident and authentic teacher you always dreamed of.

Restorative Yoga

Teaching the Art of Rest

Date: 29th and 30th April 2023
Time: 11am – 5pm Sat, 9am – 3pm Sun
Price: $220
CPD Points: 12

Restorative yoga is a slow and mindful practice, which usually involves the use of props such as bolsters, blocks, blankets, straps and walls, to aid the student in holding a pose for an extended period of time. Using props allows the student to feel “supported” and “safe”, and therefore, the unconscious and habitual muscle tension has a chance to be dissolved and released. This practice leads the yogi towards a more healing and recuperative experience, achieving a deep level of relaxation in body, breath and mind.

Yogic Bandhas

Date: Sunday 15th October 2023
Time: 7am – 10am
Price: $75
CPD Points: 3

One of the aims of Hatha Yoga is to expand, direct & contain the prana within. This is done through a variety of techniques, particularly, the Bandhas. Bandhas are energetic locks which can be used in asana, pranayama and meditation. On a physical level, the bandhas can help with circulation of blood and lymph, control of abdominal muscles, loosen connective tissue, massage internal organs, as well as aid in digestion. On a mental level, they help with concentration, clarity and discipline.

But really, the bandhas work on an energetic level; they clear and channel the prana, releasing blocks so prana flows freely and leave you feeling revitalized.

This workshop will provide simple, effective, practical and powerful ways to learn the 3 main bandhas: Jalandhara Bandha (chin lock), Uddiyana Bandha (abdominal lock) and Moolabandha (root lock). You will learn how to do each bandha separately, how to link them with the breath, how they are used in asana and how to do all three locks simultaneously (Maha Bandha & Maha Mudra).
