Explorations of the inner architecture of energy in yoga practice.
Join special guest teacher (and Ginny’s teacher) Paul Wooden for the embodied breath workshop which is an intimate exploration of the whole field of yoga practice where we learn to harness the subtle energetic dynamics of our body, our feeling, our mind and beyond.
We access prana, or our subtle life energy, by feeling it. Pranayama and breath work helps us expand and refine our capacity for feeling. It helps bring a more responsive intelligence to feeling and this felt response intelligence is precisely what guide us in practice. This is where our practice becomes truly our own. A more intimate relationship to the breath and subtle energy can help bring more clarity to the deeper dimensions of practice.
You can expect a physically gentle yet internally nourishing weekend as we explore through both theory and practice, the intimate fields of energy in yoga practice.
Some of the themes we will cover are:
* Prana as essential nourishment
* Safety and belonging
* The role of gravity in breathing
* Trauma and the breath
* Befriending and refining feeling
* Boundaries, containment and openness
* Understanding the interplay of energy and mind
* Trusting the natural intelligence of life.
