"Meditation is the ultimate mobile device; you can use it anywhere, anytime, unobtrusively." Sharon Salzberg The key to a peaceful life, is having a peaceful mind. How do we get a peaceful mind? Through observing and knowing your thoughts and beliefs and then knowing how to redirect your thoughts to something neutral or helpful. And how can we get to know our mind? Through the practice of meditation. During this meditation class, a variety of techniques are shared to train us in the art of focusing our mind. Once the mind is still and quiet, we have the opportunity to see clearly, free from judgement, and to live more fully in the present moment. Most participants sit in a chair, as a comfortable body is important so that the mind isn't distracted. Bolsters and mats are available too, if you prefer sitting on the floor.
